Client: York Township
Value: $200,000 / $125,000
ARRC was contracted to conduct stream stabilization and restoration on two separate streams within York Township, York County, Pennsylvania. The stabilization of the Unnamed Tributary incorporated a series of grade control structures, fish habitat enhancement, and bank grading on 500 linear feet of a severely eroded stream bank. The Mill Creek Preserve Stream Restoration Project involved channel relocation, bank stabilization, fish habitat enhancement, and floodplain wetland creation. Both projects reconnected streams to their functioning floodplains, reduced erosion and sedimentation, enhanced aquatic habitat, and improved sediment transport.
