ARRC’s planting crew has 5 full-time laborers including:

RYAN ADAMS

PLANT CREW MANAGER, ENVIRONMENTAL BIOLOGIST, & CONSULTANT

Relevant Education:

Bachelor of Science in Biology: Minor in Political Science, West Chester University of Pennsylvania

Relevant Experience:

Aquatic Resource Restoration Company, Seven Valleys, PA, 2015–Present

  • Write proposals for planting projects
  • Consult with clients on variety and quantity of species for projects
  • Supervise a team of 3-4 people to accomplish company goals in nursery and job site settings
  • Interpret paper and digital plan sets to ensure projects are completed according to client specifications and deadlines
  • Coordinate personnel and equipment to perform tasks in the most efficient manner
  • Foresee problems and inventory needs for future projects
  • Communicate with Project Managers, Construction Foremen, Nursery Manager, and clients
  • Report job progress to Project Managers
  • Compile lists of materials and equipment needed to execute orders and purchase any materials needed
  • Organize materials and personnel needed to run multiple jobs concurrently
  • Drive Class C trucks and trailers to and from job sites
  • Plant various native species of trees and shrubs to restore wetland areas
  • Prepare live stakes for planting
  • Make stakes for trees and shrubs
  • Stabilize soil to prevent erosion
